For Kids

Some tips

Be a responsible parent and check out the sites BEFORE you bookmark them for your children.
Always KNOW what your children are doing and what sites they are visiting.
The best way to accomplish that, is to put the computer in a family area rather than in their bedrooms.
Never give your children administrative privileges.
Always set them up with a user account with limited privileges and password the administrators login.
This will protect the computer from tampering.
Many of these sites also have areas for parents and teachers as well as for children.
Before you allow your children online read these http://www.internet101.ca/, http://disney.go.com/legal/internet_safety.html or http://www.safekids.com/child_safety.htm.

There are two other sites that may be of interest to a responsible parent:
Stopsexoffenders.com and Breaking the silence (A site on abuse).
