Welcome to the GIF Vault, containing over 7,500 free GIF images. Except for the transformer images they are all 32x32 and 16 colour (there are a few 256 colour) and all have transparent backgrounds so they are ideal for inserting straight into a web page. These were all transferred from windows icons (.ico) to gif format. I find that the 32x32 size is ideally suited to web page graphics as they are small and fast to load. This archive is given freely to the computer community with no restrictions. Do with it whatever you will.
